Avani delivers leadership programming for 5 cohorts a year, providing expert facilitation, executive coaching, and self-awareness assessments to over 300 DoW civilians annually, ranging from GS-7 to SES levels. Focusing on team building, decision making, and leadership tools. Our expert-led seminars equip leaders with the skills to lead confidently, resulting in stronger, more cohesive teams across the DoW.

A study found that, for every $10M the DoW invests in executive coaching, it realizes a return severalfold higher.

Avani brought together experts in heat-related challenges to design FEMA’s first comprehensive online course on heat stress and safety, equipping emergency managers and frontline staff to identify, prevent, and respond to heat risks. With extreme heat now the leading weather-related killer in the U.S., this training saves lives and ensures first responders stay safe on the job.

Avani conducted a comprehensive gap analysis for the Army Chaplain Corps, identifying areas for curriculum enhancement. Using the insights gained, we are designing and developing new training materials to ensure chaplains are well-equipped to perform their duties effectively in diverse and evolving environments. To share the insights we gathered, we held a series of webinars with chaplains and field staff, ensuring feedback and best practices informed the way forward.

Avani leads the collection and preservation of personal stories from Airmen, officers, and veterans of recent conflicts, contributing to the Air University Library’s digital catalog. We train cadets in oral history techniques, ensuring these invaluable military histories are meticulously documented and accessible to future generations.

Avani provided HR operations and staffing support to the Executive Office of the President, ensuring seamless workforce processes and organizational alignment. Our work enabled the White House’s HR team to focus on mission priorities while maintaining efficient, compliant, and people-centered systems.

Avani partners with the Florida DJJ to design and deliver leadership training that equips juvenile justice staff with the tools to lead effectively in their high-stakes environment. By emphasizing resilience, communication, and performance improvement, our programming strengthens teams across the agency, driving better outcomes for youth and communities.

Across 9 weeks of training per year, Avani delivered the Keystone Leadership Program, the agency’s premier initiative for developing its mid-level managers. Our programming strengthened the skills leaders need to step into greater responsibility, sharpening judgment, building resilience, and preparing participants to lead effectively in their complex, mission-driven environment.

Avani designed and developed FEMA’s Public Assistance Leadership Academy (PALA) and Coach and Evaluator (C&E) Training. For PALA, we created an immersive leadership program culminating in a simulated Joint Field Office capstone to strengthen collaboration, judgment, and strategic decision-making. For C&E, we developed experiential learning activities and resource guides that prepared evaluators to assess the performance of FEMA’s incident workforce. Through curriculum design, facilitator training resources, and both in-person and virtual learning tools, Avani enhanced FEMA’s ability to equip leaders and evaluators with the skills and frameworks needed to guide disaster recovery effectively.

Avani supports Air University’s Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) by selecting and training online faculty for the Global College of Professional Military Education (GCPME). Our work helped Air Force officers, DoD civilians, and enlisted personnel prepare for higher responsibility roles through improved online higher education programs.

Avani coordinated subject matter experts to train FDA Office of Regulatory Affairs personnel on laws, regulations, and scientific concepts related to FDA-regulated commodities. This training helped the ORA improve compliance and public health outcomes by ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Avani delivered innovative educational solutions to the U.S. Army by developing training strategies for unit, individual, and self-development programs. Our services included courseware conversion to IMI, IV&V of training materials, and the deployment of Virtual Mobile Training Teams (VMTT), which enhanced soldiers’ adaptability in dynamic battlefield conditions.

Avani worked with FEMA’s National Fire Academy to update three existing online courses on logistics, including Custodial Officer Training, Receiving Officer Training, and Basic Property Management. These courses ensure compliance with FEMA guidelines and promote operational efficiency within logistics management.

Avani spearheaded the creation of Data in Gear (DIG), an online hub designed to help GEAR UP grantees utilize longitudinal data for performance reporting and continuous improvement. Our platform facilitated communication and provided comprehensive resources, guiding grantees through the entire project lifecycle to enhance their data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Avani provided research, technical assistance, and program evaluation services for the High School Graduation Initiative (HSGI). We supported grantees by monitoring and providing technical support to 29 high schools, while managing a 20-site pilot program aimed at increasing FAFSA applications and improving college readiness in high-poverty areas.
